With a huge thank you to our corporate sponsor, Paterson Arran Ltd, we held another successful Orangutan Awareness Week in November and many Orangutan Foundation supporters demonstrated their dedication and enthusiasm to the cause by holding discos, sponsored walks, fayres and cake stalls to name but a few events.
"Nick" was hired to bring maximum impact in some cases including our station collections at selected London train stations. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who offered up their time to help us with this. You really helped make a success of the fundraising days.
The eagerly awaited annual poster competition was also held whereby we asked our younger supporters to put pen/pencil/paint brush/IT skills into practice and submit artwork which depicts the very message they feel is of importance with regards the plgiht of orangutans and their rainforest home. Every year we are flabbergasted by the talent and, above all, enthusiasm which is implemented into the entries and this year was no exception. It was truly a difficult task having to choose winning entries from given the popularity of the competition.
Congratulations to all who won and thank you so much to those of you who submitted your entries, it really is wonderful to see our younger supporters enthused and passionate about the cause. Below you will see the winners of the three age categories:
