LOGOS

Logos is a four-year-old male orangutan. He joined the soft-release programme in 2023 after being intercepted in Java, Indonesia on his way to becoming an illegal pet

Logos lives at Camp Rasak. He has begun climbing taller trees, playing with males living in the wild and has slowly started to build nests. Logos will be with us for several years until he has learnt all the skills he needs for an independent life in the wild.

SINTA

Sinta is a four-year-old female orangutan who was rescued in March 2023 when she was found abandoned by the riverside. The whereabouts of her mother were unknown and so as an orphan, Sinta joined the soft-release programme in Lamandau Wildlife Reserve.

Sinta is at Camp Buluh learning her forest skills alongside her campmate Timtom. She is an excellent climber and forager, and always wants to stay in the forest for as long as possible! She has several years to go until she is old enough for release the wild.
